In 2019, Open Door teamed up with Leicester Curve, Derby Theatre and The Nottingham Playhouse to welcome over 230 local state school students into their buildings to engage with three editions of our inspiring event, IGNITE.
IGNITE ran for a full day at each venue with a series of dynamic workshops on careers in casting, lighting, design, acting, makeup, script writing, directing, camera operating and more.

As a result of attending an IGNITE event:
97% of attendees said that they were either a lot or a little more aware of the jobs available across the whole creative industries
93% said that they were more aware of the jobs available in film, television and theatre
90% said they felt either a lot or a little more confident about the next steps they would need to take to achieve the creative career goals that they have
