Participants in the Return Group are participants who have attended our Acting Training Programme and have not yet been offered a place at a drama school; this will be their second or third time applying to drama school with Open Door.
What support do participants on our Return Group programme get?
Free auditions at our partner schools: Guildhall School of Music and Drama, LAMDA, Royal Welsh College of Music, and The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland
Travel expenses to all to auditions
Free theatre tickets throughout the programme for theatres such as Royal Court, Donmar Warehouse, Nottingham Playhouse, Almeida Theatre and more!
Access to our hardship fund to cover any expenses relating to being part of Open Door or the audition process
Pastoral support and mentoring from the Open Door team
One-to-one training sessions with selected industry professionals

We know that some participants need just a bit more support or time to reach their potential. Our Return Group Programme allows participants on our Access Programme who did not gain a drama school place in their first year with us to try again with our support for a further two years, making sure that participants can work at their own pace and with less pressure.
