Emilia and Riz join Open Door!

We are very excited to announce that Emilia Clarke, star of Game of Thrones and Me Before You, and Riz Ahmed, star of Rogue One and Jason Bourne, have come on board as Open Door patrons.

Emilia will star in the new Hans Solo Star Wars film and has been nominated for three Emmy awards and four Screen Actors Guild awards for her work in the hit HBO series, Game of Thrones. 

Riz first came to national attention in the Chris Morris satire, Four Lions and has since worked successfully in theatre, film and television both in the UK and the US earning one Golden Globe and two Emmy nominations.. 

‘Open door will enable so many people who have dreams of training their craft and honing their skills for a future in the arts possible, and this is something we sure need more of!’ said Emilia on why she joined the project.

Emilia and Riz will join our other patrons, actors Woody Harrelson, David Morrissey, Amanda Redman and casting director, Nadira Seecoomar.

If you’re aged between 18-25 who would like to apply to Open Door, the deadline for applications is Monday 2 October. However, please do check the eligibility criteria before you apply as this is a genuine attempt to get working class actors a place at drama school.
